private beach

La Jolla
It's not easy to find a spot just to yourself on the many beaches of San Diego.  For a time, this family had this private little beach to themselves.  Fifteen minutes later, they were overrun by tourists.

La Jolla certainly lives up to its name; it is a jewel of a community, insulated by a large income difference but the subject of many tour books for San Diego.  There are caves to be explored, boutiques to be shopped, specialty restaurants to be eaten at, and beautiful people to look at.  This is one of my favorite destinations in my hometown, there is just so much to look at.
