This architectural beauty opened up late last year, last night was my first opportunity to see it upon my arrival from a trip to San Diego. I had seen news footage of the interior, knew the scale of the building from casual research, but last night I think I was the only person who wasn't paying attention to the baggage claim carousel. I'll have to go back some time late in the evening. I think it would be lovely to do an amateurish photo shoot in a deserted airport.
Pictured above is the famous rabbit, hung from the ceiling, greeting all new arrivals as they begin an adventure or come home to Sacramento.
